Election Day for midterm 2018 elections has not been problem-free, despite the smooth sailing that was the Early Voting, which had a great turn-out.
Voting machines in Dawson and Pursley polling places were malfunctioning in the morning, but Dawson’s machines were back up around noon, and repairs were being made to the Pursley machines.
Dan Teed, Navarro County Elections Administrator, said problems have been with the “check-in tablets,” and he plans to have a meeting soon for the public to communicate their concerns.
“Right now, we’re a bit swamped, so I know people may have a hard time getting through to us, but I would like people to E-mail us with any problems they may have so we can look at them individually,” Teed said.
“I also want to have a meeting for voters in our county regarding these problems at some point in the future.”
